GUIDE PRICE
Pictures will be offered for sale showing a GUIDE PRICE - this is similar to an auctioneer's initial starting price.
STATUS
Initially the STATUS column will show Reserve. The Reserve Price will not be visible to the member. When the Reserve Price has been reached or passed, the status column in the bid form is changed from Reserve to Selling.
BID SUCCESSFUL
When a painting is 'Selling' and the last bid has been in place for 48 hours the STATUS column will change from 'Selling' to 'Hammer Down'. The 'Time to Hammer Down' column will show the time left from the last bid to 'Hammer Down Time'. When Hammer Down has been reached the Hammer Down column will show SOLD. No more bids will be accepted for the painting. Negotiations by Email will then commence for payment and delivery to the successful member.
MINIMUM BID The minimum acceptable bid will be 2% above the previous bid. The minimum bid figure will be shown when the bid is offered. Bids less than the minimum bid will be rejected.
NOT SOLD
Should a painting fail to meet its Reserve Price within a reasonable time the status column will change from RESERVE to NOT SOLD. The painting will be either offered again for auction at a later date or withdrawn.
